The story of a special bond between an orphan , Pete and his best friend , Elliott , who happens to be a dragon . Set against the backdrop of loggers cutting down the forest . Pete is a child whose parents died in a car accident , and was then raised by Elliot , the titular dragon in the forest is threatened . Looking into the process is a forest ranger who found the child , the young daughter of a factory owner and brother greedy factory owner .
